Hey Troy!
Yall were FANTASTIC!!! Everyone had such a great time, and
you really did an amazing job, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
About the first dance, that was 100% my fault! I was so
overwhelmed by everything, for some reason I thought we
were supposed to do it right then, and it was great, I
apologize for messing that up and probably giving you a
slight heart attack!!!
Also, please do not even worry about the pants! SUCH a
little thing and it didn't bother me one bit!! My mom has
gotten so many compliments on you guys and Maria (wedding
planner) has put yall in her file - she's a very popular
person in the wedding business in SA, so I hope she sends
lots more people your way!
We really were so pleased with you guys and appreciate
everything!!
Thanks again!
Taylor
It is
rare to find a band that can play so tight and with so
much "chemistry." From covers to original tunes, it is
easy to see that the guys of Haywire are a 'family' which
truly enjoys what they do. So if you are in the
Austin area, look at your calendars and mark down Friday,
October 10! They will be performing again at The Oasis,
and the Gnome & I plan on being in attendance!

known columnist Linda Sharp

Dear Haywire Band,
Everyone I saw at our wedding reception
was having such a great time - and that's all due to you guys! People
came up to me with the obligatory "It was such a lovely ceremony..."such a
pretty dress", and..."Where did you find that band"?!?! They're
unbelievable! Better than we could imagine - Count on us to sing your
praises!

Troy,
The band was AMAZING!! All of our guests are still raving about how great
the band was and how no one could stay in their seats. We had a huge crowd
of dancers and it was hard to fit them all on the dance floor. They played
the perfect songs and I couldn't have asked for anything better. You guys
were my best vendor ever!! I know all of our guest would recommend Haywire
to any of our friends and family.
Don't worry about the first dance song, it was still great.
At the wedding I was unable to give a tip. I don't have much, but I feel
they truly deserve it. Please let me know where I can send it.
Once again it was great and the band made our wedding night!!

Hi Troy - Haywire was great Saturday
Night. The dance floor was packed and no one wanted the band to stop
playing. Please tell Chris and the other band members "thank you for a job
well done".
Many thanks, Lynn
Dear Haywire,
When my husband, Chris, and I began planning for our wedding, we were asked
our top 3 priorities. We responded with "fun band, fund band, and fun
band!" You completely met our expectations! I was nervous that the hot,
Texas heat would keep people off the dance floor, but the minute y'all began
playing, the dance floor was packed with people dancing, laughing, and
having a great time.
Chris and I truly feel that you helped make our wedding as fun as we dreamed
it to be. For that (and sweltering outside) we would like to thank you from
the bottom of our hearts. You all are fabulous!
Sincerely,
Allison Tipton
Hi Troy-- We just got back from 2 weeks in
Maui, so sorry for my delay in responding! Yes, the band did a great job at
our wedding. The song selection and quality was great and we had several
compliments on them afterwards. Would definitely recommend you guys-- great
quality and price! Congrats on the adoption....

Hi Troy, Chris and Paul,
Bill and I just got back from our honeymoon and I just had to write you a
note to let you know how fabulous the band was for our
wedding on September 23rd at the House on the Hill.
Paul, the ceremony music was wonderful and it meant so much to us to have
you step in at the last minute!
We have gotten countless compliments on the music that evening. EVERYONE had
great things to say about the band! Bill and I were really impressed that
the music selections you guys played were perfect for our crowd. Everyone
was dancing and many people said they could have danced all night to your
band's music! You exceeded our expectations in every way — and we had high
expectations! Words cannot express how special you made our evening. Thank
you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding celebration so
memorable and fun for everyone! We will definitely give the band Haywire the
highest recommendation to anyone who asks!!!
Thanks again!

Troy - this is the testimonial/recommendation
I promised. The honeymooners got back last night from St. Lucia. Thanks,
again!
I highly recommend Haywire to anyone who is searching for a talented,
exciting and really versatile band. They delighted everyone at my daughter's
great wedding party at the Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas on April 29,
2006.
The party included a rich mix of people, ranging from college students
to retired physicians.
Haywire's popular and diverse music kept the
people spinning on the dance floor for over four hours.
They started the fun with a Polish/Czech "get acquainted" dance, which got
everyone up and moving. In this dance, each couple holds hands and parades
around the room behind the other couples. At one point every couple passes
under a long archway formed by the arms of the other dancers. Then the
couples separate and walk in single file for a while - men in one line and
women in another. Finally the two lines curve around and reunite, always
keeping time with an energetic polka beat. What a wonderful way to get
the party going!
In all respects, Haywire exceeded our expectations. It was a pleasure to
work with them in planning the song list. Louisiana Cajun, traditional
two-step, country, rock, and dance music from the sixties through the
present - they excel in every one of these styles.
Believe me, you can't go wrong with this band!

Troy,
I was going to get in touch with
you this weekend to tell you how much we
enjoyed the band at our wedding, but you got to me first! Thanks for your
e-mail! (There's something wrong with my yahoo account, so I'm e-mailing
you from my work account). We absolutely LOVED you guys - thank you so
much for doing such an incredible job. Our first song was great, and I
would have to agree with my step-dad, the HavaNagila was wonderful - Mark
and I agreed that dancing to the Hava Nagila was one of the best parts of
our wedding. I was shocked that you'd never played it before, because it
sounded incredible! And thank you for playing it for so long - as you saw,
it was a total crowd pleaser! All of our guests told us how much they
enjoyed the band - you were a big hit! Every song was wonderful - I wouldn't have changed anything! I was also worried that no one would dance
b/c it was a day wedding, but it looked like everyone was out there having
fun! Oh, and we loved the hoola hoops - nice touch!! Mark and I were laughing b/c the hoops got everyone onto the dance floor - like, my sister who hadn't really been dancing got out there and hoola hooped the entire
song! Who knew?! By the way, Mr. Chicago is my step-sister's crazy boyfriend -
isn't he
insane? He is definitely a hoot - he certainly livened up our wedding!!
And he probably wasn't kidding that he wants you to come and play in
Chicago. :-) Anyhow, our wedding was so so much fun, and we really
appreciate all of
your hard work. We will absolutely recommend you to anyone else we know
who is looking for a band - you guys were fantastic - above and beyond what we were expecting! Mark and I were so impressed with you guys - you are
all really talented! Again, thank you so much - you really helped to make
our wedding awesome!
Take care, Wendy |

Troy,
Y'all were spectacular. We look
forward to seeing you at Great Hills for
the Gold Rush. Also, we have begun planning for next year, and would
certainly like to see y'all again for July 3, 2005. I know this is too
early for any booking, but keep in mind you will be asked. For the first time in the seven
years of our party we are hoping to have
the same bands and food service two consecutive years. Next year the
Family band will be opening for Haywire hopefully, allowing us to have live
music for about seven hours.
Thanks again, and the same to
the entire band,
Tom MacKay |
